Who would be the "NCAA Football 20" cover athlete: Tua Tagovailoa or Trevor Lawrence?

It's been six years since EA Sports' released a new "NCAA Football," but many are still pining for the popular video game. While an updated version is not forthcoming, that's not stopping people from dreaming of who would be on the cover of what's supposed to be this year's iteration. Some think it should be Tua Tagovailoa, the gunslinging, Heisman Trophy finalist quarterback in Alabama. Others think it should be Trevor Lawrence, who just led Clemson to a National Championship. Who would've gotten the honor? 🏈

If "NCAA Football" were still releasing new games, there is no reason why Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa wouldn't be on the cover. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist last season and entering a year where he is expected to be at least a finalist again.

Tagovailoa has everything you'd want in a cover athlete: talent, name recognition and is the star of a traditional college powerhouse. He is a dynamic threat with a cannon for an arm. He nearly threw for 4,000 yards last season and notched 43 touchdowns playing for a Crimson Tide team with high expectations.

Trevor Lawrence is a nice player, but when you're talking about star power, Tagovailoa has that in spades. He would've been the only pick for the cover.

Tua Tagovailoa has some individual accolades, but who was the last quarterback to win a national championship? That would be Lawrence.

The man they call "Sunshine" for his impeccable similarity to Ronnie Bass from "Remember the Titans" finished the seasons with over 3,200 passing yards and 30 touchdowns to four interceptions as a true freshman. That is obscene.

Lawrence proved he had enough talent as a first-year player and is only trending up with Clemson expected to be a College Football Playoff-bound team. He is only player that worthy of being on a "NCAA Football 20" cover.
