According to reports, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will be suspended for six games following the conclusion of an NFL investigation into alleged domestic abuse. With his history of suspect behavior, many pundits believe the suspension is well deserved. However, no evidence has been presented to show Elliott is guilty of anything, and a suspension of this length is overkill. Did the NFL go too far? 🏈

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Elliott is accused of five incidents of domestic violence over a six-day period in July 2016. He was also videotaped pulling a woman’s top down at a St. Patrick’s Day parade, and he allegedly broke a DJ’s nose in Dallas.

Elliott is a ticking time bomb, and the NFL was right to suspend him six games before he becomes even more of a danger to himself and others.

This six game suspension stems from an incident where no charges were filed. Just last year, Josh Brown admitted to abusing his wife, and he was only suspended one game before returning to the New York Giants. The NFL is trying to make itself look better after botching Ray Rice's and Brown's suspensions.

The league needed to make an example, and it unfairly targeted Elliott who was never charged with a crime.
