Did the Astros make a mistake trading for Roberto Osuna?

The Houston Astros traded for relief pitcher Roberto Osuna, who was suspended 75 games this year for violating MLB's domestic abuse policy. So much for zero-tolerance for domestic abuse. Some feel the franchise sold its soul to win a second consecutive title unnecessarily, since they already have the second-best record in the league. Others feel Osuna deserves redemption and the Astros can't sit on their laurels hoping for another championship. What do you think? ⚾

The Houston Astros supposedly had a zero-tolerance policy against domestic abuse. It appears they threw that out the window when they acquired  Roberto Osuna. Osuna was arrested for domestic abuse this year and suspended for 75 games. The team didn't really need him either after earning the second best record in the Majors. The team has made it clear they value rings over principles.

Whatever is going on with Osuna, he has been punished sufficiently by MLB. You can't expect the Astros to be idle when they can get one of the better relievers in the game. The man deserves a second chance to play the game he loves. Here is a statement from the Astros:

Our decision to acquire Roberto was based entirely on information we gathered during our extensive investigation. That included as much information as we could gather about the specific incident and the charges that were filed but it also included as much as we could gather about his actions before and after the incident, as well as his personal reputation among his former teammates and coaches. The information regarding this specific incident weighed heavily on our decision but when evaluating the entirety of the information, we felt Roberto deserved a second chance.
