Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was held to eight yards on nine carries, by far the former Ohio State Buckeye’s worst game in his professional career. Many people have criticized Elliott for quitting on his team. After watching one play where he stops playing after an interception, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think he did. Still, everyone is entitled to a bad game, and saying he quit would be a reach. What do you think? 🏈

NFL players already have a lot of pressure on them to perform. Elliott has the weight of domestic assault allegations, and a case against the NFL to deal with. Not only was Elliott not getting the ball, he was getting stacked at the line whenever he did get it. With things going sideways off and on the field, it wouldn't be surprising that he quit.

People are overreacting to a bad game like it never happened before. Elliott was completely ineffective, and frustrated the entire game. Still, to say he quit on the Cowboys would be a stretch. Football is all Elliott has. Everything else in his life is falling apart. Like many athletes before him, the field of play is his sanctuary. There is no way he would betray that and quit.
