The Cotton Bowl is set, pitting two top-10 teams against one another in Texas: the USC Trojans and Ohio State Buckeyes. The Trojans made it to the Cotton Bowl by winning the Pac-12 Championship on the shoulders of Ronald Jones II and Sam Darnold. The Buckeyes come into the game winning the Big 10 title powered by their own quarterback-running back duo in J.T. Barrett and J.K. Dobbins. Who takes the Cotton Bowl? 🏈

USC recovered from getting blown out by Notre Dame, losing to Washington State on a short week and having no bye week in the middle of the season to win the Pac-12 Conference for the first time in nearly a decade. Sam Darnold wasn't able to break into the Heisman Trophy conversation this year, but he still threw for 3,787 yards and 26 touchdowns. Ronald Jones II carried the Trojan offense most of the year, gaining nearly 1,500 yards rushing with 18 touchdowns. Powered by this dynamic duo, USC should win its second major bowl in two years.

Ohio State was arguably one ill-fated blowout away from being in the College Football Playoff. Life isn't fair, but at least it landed in the prestigious Cotton Bowl. The team comes into the game hot after defeating Wisconsin in the Big 10 title game behind two passing touchdowns from J.T. Barrett, and 174 rushing yards from J.K. Dobbins. Both players have been powering the Buckeye offense for the season, and they will be too much to overcome for USC in the Cotton Bowl.
