Should all sports be suspended due to coronavirus?
This isn't panic. This is practical.
Sporting events bring in thousands of fans in the one area and judging from how fast this virus spreads, holding any game with a crowd would be irresponsible. Sure, the mortality rate among the majority of the population may be small, but it can ravage elderly people and be deadly to those with compromised immune systems.
People need to stop thinking of themselves and think of the collective for once. Canceling sports events is the best thing for these leagues to do.

The coronavirus is dangerous, but canceling something that is so important to the fabric of our culture would be dooming the world to a dreary fate where the virus has taken over every facet of our lives.
Not everyone is infected and leagues can still play to limited crowds and still entertain fans on television. The Champions League played with empty arenas and still played great games.
Leagues should no doubt limit the number of people in arenas, but ending sports completely would be a mistake. Sports are an escape and people need that more than ever.
