Should Chase Young leave Ohio State football?
To put it bluntly, Chase Young doesn't need Ohio State anymore. The school has given him a platform to show NFL teams what he can do and he's thrived, to say the least. He's high on many people's Heisman lists and is undeniably dominant. Risking injuries by continuing to play for the Buckeyes is too risky and may hurt his sky-high draft stock.
Most elite college football players' goal is the NFL. If he already has the league pining after him, there is no reason for him to continue playing even if the school has a chance to play for the national championship. If the NCAA wants to be that restrictive on his actions, he should just leave and prepare for the NFL Draft.
A lot of people are comparing Chase Young's and Nick Bosa's situation and say Young should leave just like Bosa did. However, the big difference is Ohio State has a chance to be a national champion while Bosa was injured too early to know whether the Buckeyes would be contenders by the time he got back. The school this year has a chance to be special and if Young wants to be looked at as a competitor who never quits on his team, he should stay in Colombus.
