Who won the Browns-Giants trade?
The Cleveland Browns ranked 24th in the league in sacks last year. Their fortunes should change with Olivier Vernon's arrival.
The defense was great at forcing turnovers last season, but couldn't get a consistent pass rush. Vernon led the Giants in sacks last season and will only get more working with Myles Garrett. The Browns were so close to the playoffs last season. Vernon gives them enough talent to make it this year.

Olivier Vernon might be a decent pass rusher, but he made some boneheaded mistakes last year. One more year of that would've been torture, so moving him was the right move.
In return, they received Kevin Zeitler, the sixth-best offensive guard in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus. For an offensive line that allowed 47 sacks, that kind of protection will be appreciated. The Giants have enough weapons to be a playoff team but need to get players willing to do the dirty work. Zeitler fits that build.
