Is Baker Mayfield confident or childish?
For the first time in a long time, the Browns finally have the quarterback who can win them games. Confidence is what makes Baker Mayfield tick and not appreciating that part of him would be a mistake.
Mayfield is petty in the best way. He thinks he's the best and anyone who doesn't roll with him or the team is nobody. That's a guy you want on your team. Someone who will ride and die with you.
Mayfield has swag and that should not be mistaken for immaturity.
There's a difference between being confident and being a jerk. Mayfield, without provocation, attacked Giants fans for not showing up to games. He still holds a weird grudge against Hue Jackson for heading to a division rival after being fired and still doesn't like Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger even though he's in the NFL. This isn't the maturity level you want from your starting signal caller.
Mayfield needs to grow up if he wants anyone to take him seriously.
