LaDainian Tomlinson is the youngest Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee—an honor that couldn't have gone to a more deserving individual. Tomlinson was never the biggest running back, but he was impossible to tackle with his shifty running style and quick cuts. He had a knack for finding running lanes at the line of scrimmage and made defenders look silly in the open field.

He also had a nose for the end zone, finishing second all-time in rushing touchdowns. His ability to score was on full display in 2006, when he had perhaps the greatest season ever for a running back. Tomlinson destroyed the league, scoring 31 times—an NFL record that still stands today.

Terrell Davis was a great running back for four years. Tomlinson had a career of excellence that deserves to be recognized. LT is the best running back in the Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

Having record-breaking regular seasons is a great achievement, but does it really mean anything if you don't win a championship? Terrell Davis showed both excellence in the regular season, and the postseason when it really mattered. In eight playoff games, Davis gained 1,140 rushing yards and scored 12 touchdowns. His 142.5 yards per game is the most ever in NFL history.

Davis also has something LaDainian Tomlinson never had the opportunity to even play for—two Super Bowl championships. Tomlinson may hold the records, but Davis is a proven winner.

Terrell Davis made the most of Mike Shanahan's zone-read rushing offense, finding holes and exploiting them for big yards. In 1998, he out-ran every running back in the league, rushing for 2,008 yards and 23 touchdowns.

If injuries hadn't ravaged his knees, Davis might be in the conversation for greatest running back of all time. He is being inducted into the Hall of Fame for just four incredible seasons shows the kind of respect people have for his talent. TD is the better running back in this Hall of Fame class.
