MLB better look out. The New York Yankees are back, and there's nothing they can do about it. The team brought back former All-Star reliever David Robertson, who has been pitching well this season with a 2.70 ERA. They also brought in Todd Frazier, whose bat has been cold, but his 16 home runs and solid fielding are welcome additions to a Yankees roster that has been struggling at third base. These are the kind championship movies Yankee teams have done in the past.

The Yankees' front office is showing it won't be complacent. These aren't the moves of a team satisfied with a just wild card spot. The Bronx Bombers are planning to win now, and it couldn't come soon enough for Yankee fans. The Evil Empire is back.

It's hilarious that fans think acquiring a .207 hitter and bullpen help means the Yankees are "back." What?! This move reeks of desperation of to win now for the sake of winning now. The team gave up one of its top prospects in Blake Rutherford for another arm to add to a bullpen that was already one of the best in MLB. Getting Todd Frazier improves the team but isn't a sexy move Yankees fans should really get excited about.

As much as people love to hate the Yankees, these aren't moves that strike fear or loathing in anyone. Until the Yankees buy a perennial all-star away from a team, the Evil Empire is not back.
