There is no way you can say Black quarterbacks are treated unfairly when they are some of the most popular players in the NFL today. Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson are battling for the MVP this year, Patrick Mahomes won the MVP last year and quarterbacks like DeShaun Watson garner a lot of attention from fans.

Heading into week 11, nine starting quarterbacks were black and the league is not hesitating to draft black quarterbacks out of college. The days of black quarterbacks being under-appreciated by the NFL are over.

Being treated fairly isn't just limited to ability. Yes, people respect these players for their play, but do they respect the human?

Fans are quick to jump down Cam Newton's throat for his demeanor during losses or his fashion sense. Despite winning the Heisman Trophy, many classified Lamar Jackson as a running back or wide receiver. Heck, Colin Kaepernick may have gotten kicked out of the league for protesting police brutality during the national—a constitutional right.

No matter what Black quarterbacks do, people will either doubt their ability or restrict the ways they can express themselves if it's outside the scope of what's "normal" behavior for football players. They may be getting more recognition, but saying they are treated fairly is a stretch.
