What's the most patriotic part of college sports: Berating teenagers or exploiting them for profit?

There's nothing as American as college sports. Patriotism comes in many shades in the scope of amateur athletics but there are two displays of national pride that really encompass what being from the greatest country in the world really means. There's nothing more American than yelling at children who make mistakes, calling them racial slurs and living vicariously through them because your dreams have been crushed. However, exploiting children for cheap labor and while making boatloads of money is the American way. Which part of college sports make you want to say, "MURRICA"?

Who doesn't love yelling racial obscenities at teenagers who put their bodies on the line for free?

Everyone knows college athletes are entitled and need to be taken don a peg. It doesn't matter that some of them came out of poverty to live their dreams of being an athlete or getting a free education. Overcoming impossible odds makes them cocky and it would be unAmerican to let that slide.

Asking for a person's immigration status, showing a sign insinuating they sexually assaulted a player's sister and bringing up dead relatives is not only fun, but it also demonstrates that freedom of speech that is free from consequence that Americans love so much. It's like a twitter thread in real life!

This is the best part of college sports.

Wait, wait, wait. I love racist chants as much as the next guy, but what's truly American about college sports is exploiting a free workforce and generating billions of dollars. We won't ever go back to slavery, but the NCAA is the closest thing to that swept-under-the-rug institution today!

Nowhere else in society are adults can't make money on their likeness and lack a true wage. But it's okay! They get a "free" education that can be taken away at any time because of annual scholarship renewals, and free room and board. While those players sacrifice their bodies for pennies, the NCAA is making billions of dollars as a non-profit. Exploiting people and rules to maximize income? How American!

Greed isn't a deadly sin like God-fearing citizens in a mostly Christian country say, huh? It's a virtue that the entire country is built on and the best part of college sports!
