Should Alabama get a playoff spot if the Crimson Tide don't win the SEC?

There is no way you should be able to play for a national championship if you haven't proven yourself to be the best in your conference. People are always crying about how the regular season is the best because every game counts.

If the Crimson Tide were as good as everyone thinks they are, they should win their conference to guarantee their spot in the playoffs. If they lose, they should miss out because the regular season determines who is worthy for that spot.

Alabama shouldn't be given special treatment because it is Alabama. The Crimson Tide should have to win the SEC to qualify for the CFP.

The point of the College Football Playoff is to pit the four best teams in the country against each other. Anyone who has seen Alabama play knows it is one of the four best teams out there right now.

The Crimson Tide shouldn't be punished for getting unlucky in one game. This might be one of the greatest teams ever in the sport. They should have the opportunity to play for a national championship regardless.
