Who had the better performance following an injury: Aaron Rodgers or Paul Pierce?

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with a nasty-looking knee injury that required him to be carted back to the locker room. That didn't prevent him from coming back in the second half and leading the team from a 20-3 deficit in the fourth quarter to a 24-23 win against the Chicago Bears. This was very similar to when Paul Pierce was wheelchaired off in the 2008 NBA Finals, only to come back minutes later to lead the Celtics to a Game 1 win against the Lakers. Who did it better? 🏈🏀

Unlike Paul Pierce, Aaron Rodgers had a legitimate injury where you can actually see his leg bending in ways it wasn't supposed to. He got reexamined in the locker room and came out to start the second half. The rest is history.

On one leg, Rodgers guided the team from a 20-3 fourth-quarter deficit to a win in Green Bay's first game of the NFL season. That's how you earn a $134 million contract.

Rodgers came back during a regular season game. That's great and all, but Pierce got it done during the NBA Finals. People like to give him a lot of flack, but no one really knows how much pain Pierce was in other than himself.

Whatever the situation was, he still gutted out a win on the sport's biggest stage against the hated Lakers, helping the Celtics win the NBA Championship.
