The Supreme Court recently granted a request from the Trump administration blocking a lower court's decision that would have allowed up to 24,000 refugees into the country. The White House has insisted the travel ban is necessary to protect the U.S. from foreign terrorists trying to enter the country. But critics maintain the ban is discriminatory and could actually make us less safe. What do you think? 🏛️

The Supreme Court recently gave the Trump administration a small win on their controversial travel ban.

The justices granted a request from the Trump administration to block a federal appeals court decision that, according to the Justice Department, would have allowed up to 24,000 additional refugees to enter the United States than would otherwise have been eligible.

President Trump has consistently defended his travel ban, citing security concerns as his top priority.

But opponents of the travel ban argue not only is it unconstitutional, it will actually make Americans less safe.

Convicted terrorists support Trump’s travel ban because it sends a message that is consistent with their extremist propaganda. The reality is that the travel ban will not impact terrorists nor protect Americans. It is more likely to negatively impact good people who are simply trying to escape dangerous regimes and/or be reunited with family.

Trump supporters echo the president's message that the travel ban will keep the U.S. safe.

But opponents continue to fight against what they view as a cruel and ineffective executive order.
