Who would you prefer as president: Donald Trump or Mike Pence? | The Tylt
There's a non-zero chance President Trump may be removed from office. For some, Vice President Mike Pence would be a breath of fresh air. He's more restrained than Trump and would largely follow a more traditional Republican policy platform. Democrats might prefer him simply because he's not Trump, and Republicans would like him because he's a more traditional conservative than Trump. However, voters obviously chose Trump for a reason—he didn't promise the same old Republican promise. He promised to drain the swamp and shake things up in Washington D.C.

At this point, people think they know what to expect from Trump. Pence is more of an unknown factor.
Pence has a clear conservative agenda, unlike Trump. While governor of Indiana, Pence signed a law that allowed residents to cite their religious beliefs in defense of discriminating against LGBTQ people and businesses.
Trump's actions may be cartoonish, but he's doing real damage to society. The sooner he's out of office, the better. Pence, whether you like him or not, works well within the boundaries of acceptable political behavior. Trump does not.
Vice President Mike Pence is solidly conservative and is much more level-headed than Trump. He'd be a return to normal conservative politics rather than Trump's approach.
