Who are the real snowflakes: Conservatives or liberals? | The Tylt
ThinkProgress says "the snowflake insult has snowballed." The Guardian called it "the defining insult of 2016." Originally from "Fight Club," conservatives began using the term to vilify liberals who decry microaggressions, while requesting safe spaces and trigger warnings. But lefties have been hurling the insult back, saying right-wingers who make scenes over Starbucks cups and refuse to show up to their own town halls are the thin-skinned ones. What do you think? ❄️️

Conservatives point to constant skirmishes on American college campuses when right-wingers come to speak as a prime example of snowflake-ism run amok. People had a field day when some students asked for extra time to complete assignments due to the trauma of Trump being elected.
But the left wing claps back, saying it's the right who are the real delicate snowflakes. Flipping out if someone wishes them "happy holidays," crying and covering their ears if someone mentions the fact that systemic racism exists. And they call the famously thin-skinned Donald Trump the flakiest snowflake of them all.
"Snowflake" is part of a lexicon of insults people on the right deploy to describe political adversaries who they say can't handle hearing anything other than their own opinions.
Just been blocked by crybaby lefty snowflake @red13charlie. Troll with extreme prejudice.

Many on the right are tired of terminology being policed and free speech being curtailed to tiptoe around snowflake sensibilities. They say it's not just silly, it's a serious assault on First Amendment rights.
Good thing Ole Miss changed "Christmas" break to Winter break. I feel very uncomfortable with that trigger word being used in my safe space!

Liberals say conservatives have plenty of their own moments where they scream and cry if subjected to critique or other points of view.

Much like "cuck" and "beta," "snowflake" denigrates left-wingers manhood and strength. Vice calls it "basically just "pussy" rebranded."
@CloydRivers @MadamHunt And, if you have no balls, you're a liberal snowflake.

The GOP is taking heat for proposing numerous bills limiting protest and refusing to show up to town halls. Who's too delicate to handle free speech now?
