Did President Trump's U.N. speech help or hurt America's standing in the world? | The Tylt
In his first appearance at the U.N. General Assembly, President Trump gave a speech in which he vowed to "stop Islamic terrorism," called Iran a "rogue nation" and threatened to "totally destroy" North Korea—referring to Kim Jong-un as "rocket man." Many felt Trump's address weakened America's standing in the global community. But others believe Trump's speech was his best yet, strengthening America's position on the world stage. What do you think? 🌐

President Trump gave a thunderous speech to the United Nations which was met with mixed reactions.
Big day at the United Nations - many good things, and some tricky ones, happening. We have a great team. Big speech at 10:00 A.M.

Some felt Trump's speech was bombastic and counterproductive, weakening the U.S. in the eyes of the global community.
Empty threats and uninformed rambling is bad foreign policy. This is not representing the US well.

Trump at UN totally alienating the US from our allies and taking a position that will have no global support https://t.co/8TOmttmwxC

Trump is using his speech before the UN – a body founded by the US to help BRING WORLD PEACE – to make a case for TWO NUCLEAR WARS.

UN speech was a lot of Trump tweets strung together. Saber-rattling. But no clear doctrine. Threats of confrontation around the world.

But others believe President Trump did an excellent job in representing America as a strong leader on the world stage.
No question, Trump knocked it out of the park. Americans have been waiting for a POTUS to give a UN speech like that for a long time. #UNGA

Obama would've been calling out America.
Nice to have a POTUS who sticks up for his county.
