Should Michael Bloomberg drop out?

In a polarizing time, billionaire Mike Bloomberg is an especially polarizing figure. He is being accused of literally buying his way into the election. He has a personal fortune of roughly $64 billion—he is able to spend a stupid amount of money on the election and it would be a drop in the bucket for him. Already, his spending is paying off—he's rising in the polls and has been present in the debates. Some Democrats think he is a necessary evil—he has the resources and ability to defeat Trump.

Others see Bloomberg as an embodiment of a particularly American flavor of evil—he is a wealthy man who is insulated from the consequences of his actions thanks to his wealth. He is out of touch, has a history of racism and sexism, and should not be allowed anywhere near the office of the president. In other words, he should drop out. He is splitting the vote with centrists who could otherwise take the lead.
