Trump and the GOP touted the skyrocketing costs as more evidence Obamacare is a failure. Though neither Trump nor the Republican Party have been specific about how they would replace the program, congressional Republicans have voted to repeal Obamacare more than 60 times.
Defenders of Obamacare argue the rate of uninsured Americans has dropped to a record low 8.6 percent. Pre-existing conditions are a thing of the past. The law did much to address America's healthcare crisis, and needs to be revised and improved, not discarded.
Many insurers priced their plans too low as they tried to navigate a new market and attract customers....the law should be revised to bolster the risk adjustment program that protects insurers from very sick enrollees and to make it more difficult for people to sign up after enrollment closes.
