Should Boris Johnson step up and run for leadership? | The Tylt
Boris Johnson announced that he will not be in contention to be the Conservative leader on June 30. This is coming after Boris’ high profiled Leave campaign, which led many to assume that Boris ultimately had his eye on becoming prime minister.
Whether or not Boris is qualified or could win an election to be prime minister is another question, but some people think he should own the mess he helped create by leading the Leave campaign.
Do you think Boris should own his mess? Or are you saying good riddance?
He’s kind of like that guy who comes to your party already drunk and breaks your toilet. You might not want him there, he might not be qualified to fix it, but damn it, he better fix it before he leaves. He’ll probably still leave.
On the other hand, a lot of people are saying good riddance. They say he was in no way qualified to be prime minister and during a situation like this, who knows the damage he could have done.
What do you think: #BorisCleanYourMess or #ByeByeBoris?
Should Boris Johnson step up and run for leadership?
Fucking Boris Johnson. He should be forced to tidy all this shit up like any spoilt bastard that's broken stuff whilst having a tantrum.— Abbey Evans (@AbbTweetMachine) June 30, 2016
Boris Johnson won't even attempt to clean up the mess he's made whilst trying to further his own career. What a coward.— Scott Thompson (@Scott_Was_Taken) June 30, 2016
I respect his decision, however I never thought Boris Johnson would let them get to him. Boris you should have carried on regardless!!— Valerie Andrews (@val1698) June 30, 2016
Dear window lickers, the UK isn't broken so Boris Johnson had nothing to fix.— Jim (@Jim_Watford) June 30, 2016
Can everyone stop goading Boris Johnson for not standing. Would be much worse if he did. We should be thankful and walk away quietly...— Sam Munnery (@SamMunnery) June 30, 2016
I don't know why people are knocking Boris Johnson. After all, there was real concern that he could become PM so people should be happy.— Jim Crozier (@JCrozier70) June 30, 2016
