Who is your favorite First Lady: Laura Bush or Melania Trump?
Born and raised in Texas, Laura Bush is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas. She taught at public schools in Dallas and Houston before earning her master's degree in library science and working as a librarian in Austin. After her husband was elected governor, Laura became the First Lady of Texas, where she raised her profile by raising funds for public libraries and promoting literacy.
As First Lady of the United States, Laura continued her fight for children's education as well as advocating for women, promoting breast cancer awareness and speaking out about human rights. After the terrorist attack of September 11, Laura became an outspoken supporter of women in Afghanistan, and became the first First Lady to give the President's weekly radio address. Laura also served as an honorary ambassador for the United Nations Decade of Literacy, and hosted the Conference on Global Literacy in 2006.

Born in Slovenia, Melania Trump is only the second First Lady to be born outside of the United States. Melania began her modeling career at the age of sixteen and lived in Milan and Paris before moving to New York in 1996. She has appeared in countless high profile magazines including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Sport Illustrated.
According to the White House, Melania has a "penchant and passion for the arts, architecture, design, fashion and beauty" and has spent years dedicated to improving New York City. Melania is also an entrepreneur, who launched her own jewelry collection in 2010.
