John Kelly caused an uproar when he claimed DREAMers who didn't sign up for DACA were "too lazy to get off their asses" and now he's saying immigrants are unskilled. Kelly was criticized last year for claiming the Civil War was due to the "lack of an ability to compromise." Many have defended John Kelly as an honorable man who is just doing his job and keeping President Trump in check, but others believe Kelly's comments prove he is complicit in the president's extremism. What do you think?

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly upset some when he claimed immigrants were unskilled and don't integrate well.

Many feel his comments were racist.

But others felt his comments were totally reasonable.

This isn't the first time Kelly's comments have gotten him in trouble. In audio obtained by The Washington Post, Kelly said DREAMers who didn't sign up for DACA were either "too afraid" or "too lazy to get off their asses."

"There are 690,000 official DACA registrants and the president sent over what amounts to be two and a half times that number, to 1.8 million. The difference between 690,000 and 1.8 million were the people that some would say were too afraid to sign up, others would say were too lazy to get off their asses but they didn't sign up."

Last year, Kelly was criticized for claiming "the lack of an ability to compromise" is what led to the Civil War. While many have defended Kelly as an honorable man with a solid reputation who is responsible for keeping President Trump in check, others believe these comments prove he is just as bad as the rest of the White House.

Listen to the audio below:

Kelly's comments about immigrants being lazy and unskilled proves Kelly is a villain, not a hero.

But many still defend Kelly as an honorable man who is just doing a difficult job. Kelly is responsible for keeping President Trump in check, and who knows how much worse things could get if he weren't around.

Kelly's comments have been taken out of context and were not racially motivated. The man is a retired four-star general, it's not unreasonable he would push people to be more motivated or point out the obvious.
