Former Vice President Joe Biden recently launched a political action committee, ostensibly to support Democratic candidates. Many think he's keeping the door open for a 2020 presidential bid. Biden was an enormously popular vice president; he's openly bemoaned the loss of white working-class voters to the Republican Party and thinks he could win them back. Others say Joe is too old and needs to give the next generation of Democrats a chance at leadership. Should Joe Biden run in 2020? 😎

In a recent interview with InStyle, former Vice President Biden told Editor-in-Chief Laura Brown that he wasn't ruling out the possibility of running for president in 2020. Biden claims he is well suited for "this moment in American history" specifically as it pertains to the middle class.

“I think this moment in American history sort of fits into my wheelhouse and the strengths I have. I am, I think most people would say, fairly knowledgeable about American foreign policy. I’m pretty good at diplomacy internationally and bringing people together, cutting through and settling things. And I think what people are looking for most, and I hope I have it, is authenticity. I have great relationships with my Republican colleagues. They trust me, and I trust them. We can work things through.

Many have begged Biden to run for president. In the era of Trump, Biden feels like a breath of fresh air. Between his experience and likability, Biden just may be the perfect person to defeat Trump in 2020.

But others argue Biden is now too old to run for president. He already passed up his best chance in 2016, and he should step aside and give young Democratic hopefuls the opportunity to lead.
