Is Jimmy Fallon to blame for normalizing Donald Trump? | The Tylt
Back in 2016, Jimmy Fallon had then-candidate Donald Trump on "The Tonight Show" and famously ruffled Trump's hair during the interview. Many felt Fallon should've asked Trump about his tax returns, the birther campaign or his hatred toward immigrants, rather than play with his hair. Fallon has since expressed regret for his part in "normalizing" Trump, and Trump fired back telling Fallon to "be a man." Does Fallon deserve all the blowback for normalizing Trump?
Is Jimmy Fallon to blame for normalizing Donald Trump?
.@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous “hair show” with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have “humanized” me-he is taking heat. He called & said “monster ratings.” Be a man Jimmy!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 25, 2018
In honor of the President’s tweet I’ll be making a donation to RAICES in his name.— jimmy fallon (@jimmyfallon) June 25, 2018
Fucking Jimmy Fallon. He still doesn't get it.— Nash - Anbay ethay Azisnay (@Nash076) June 24, 2018
It's not that he made people "mad." It's that he helped normalize Trump. He gave him a platform and kidded around with him like he was just another reality star.

If you think #JimmyFallon “normalized”, “humanized” Trump so much it helped get him elected:— Scott Stenholm (@ScottStenholm) June 25, 2018
1. Fallon also playfully interviewed Hillary — who was often labeled as robotic and cold — and she lost.
2. 10 mins on Fallon made voters forgive Trump’s birtherism & vile campaign? BS pic.twitter.com/jJY0lNMkGv
