Is Jim Carrey's portrait of Sarah Huckabee Sanders sexist? | The Tylt
Actor Jim Carrey caused a firestorm when he tweeted an unflattering portrait of Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, referring to her as a "so-called Christian" whose "purpose in life is to lie." Many have called out Carrey's drawing as being sexist; you can attack Sanders for lying without making fun of how she looks. But others think people need to calm down. Sanders has made a name for herself by lying to the American people and she shouldn't be above ridicule. What do you think?
Is Jim Carrey's portrait of Sarah Huckabee Sanders sexist?
Pathetic BULLY, sexist, hater, bigot & "Christaphobe" @jimcarrey attacks @PressSec for her faith; what would be hypocritical Hollywood reaction if he called someone a "so-called Muslim" or "so-called Jew?" #classlessCarrey https://t.co/HCqHoER0Ru— Gov. Freedom of expression, even if hateful, is constitutionally rightful.— Sheila Jones (@_Sheila_Jones_) March 19, 2018
BUT, when your public outcries have DENOUNCED sexist, hateful, racist, xenophobic actors--
Then attack our brave & beautiful @PressSec - the only one looking bad, is you.
Thanks for helping #MAGA movement!
So y'all are mad at Jim Carrey for a cartoon he drew but y'all aren't mad when Sarah Huckabee Sanders is at the podium telling straight lies?— ➖ Señor❌Macanas ➖ (@OnCloudIX) March 19, 2018
Let me get this straight: Sarah Huckabee Sanders lies on a daily basis defending a sexual predator who is tearing apart our democracy & leaving the country vulnerable to more attacks by a foreign enemy, & the internet is pissed because Jim Carrey is an excellent painter? Got it.— Dana Goldberg (@DGComedy) March 19, 2018
