Does Attorney General Jeff Sessions need to go?
Some argue Attorney General Jeff Sessions committed perjury after he failed to "recall" conversations with Russian officials, and many lawmakers are calling on Sessions to resign, including Representative Ted Lieu of California:
“He lied under oath at least twice and most recently, both Carter Page and George Papadopoulos, based on their testimony and their statements, they show that Jeff Sessions contradicted himself when he said he was not aware of any campaign official talking to the Russians."
"He committed perjury. He should not be in that position"
But others want Sessions to stick around after reports surfaced that the Attorney General was considering the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton and James Comey.
Sessions wants prosecutors to look into the Republican concerns and report directly to him and a top deputy, according to a letter obtained by The Washington Post.
Republicans want to know if the former first lady was properly investigated for using a private email server while secretary of state or if the Clinton Foundation granted any special favors to big donors.
Many are still angry that Sessions hasn't resigned or been fired after lying under oath.
Jeff Sessions just swore to the House Judiciary Committee that he would tell the Truth, under oath, with his hand on the same bible that he broke his promise over last time. Why should we believe anything he says? Once a liar, always a liar. #SessionsHearing
