Ivanka Trump has been a target since her father decided to run for president. While Ivanka cast herself as a champion of women—promising to fight for things like equal pay and paid family leave—she has done little to follow through on her promises. Many have attacked her for failing to push for women's issues in the White House or challenge the president's dismal track record on social issues, but others think it's unfair to blame Ivanka for the actions of her father. What do you think? 👸🏼

Ivanka has been criticized for repeatedly failing to push for women's issues in the Trump administration, causing many to label her as a "fake feminist." She supported the Trump administration's decision to end an Obama-era policy that would have required businesses to collect and report information on how much they pay their workers alongside their gender, race, and ethnicity—a provision meant to address the gender pay gap.

Ultimately, while I believe the intention was good and agree that pay transparency is important, the proposed policy would not yield the intended results. We look forward to continuing to work with EEOC, Congress and all relevant stakeholders on robust policies aimed at eliminating the gender wage gap.

Ivanka also said nothing against the Trump's Department of Health and Human Services decision to roll back a mandate which required employers to cover birth control for female employees.

Because of her consistent inability to push back against the administration's seemingly anti-woman agenda, many believe Ivanka is fair game.

But others have defended Ivanka, claiming she is treated unfairly and she has a solid record as a feminist. She has spoken out forcefully against human trafficking, encouraged women to embrace their careers and donated the proceeds from her book "Women Who Work" to charity.

She also condemned Roy Moore when he was accused of molesting underage girls and white supremacists in Charlottesville long before President Trump did. Why should she be blamed for her father's behavior?

Ivanka has spoken out for women and girls at times during her father's administration.

And conservative commentator Tomi Lahren believes if Ivanka were a Democrat, she would be revered in the mainstream media.
