Is the DNC leak scandal worse than Watergate? | The Tylt
The Daily Banter puts it bluntly: "There's a lot of bullshit going around about the DNC email leak."
The DNC emails that WikiLeaks released created a massive uproar and have threatened to derail the Democratic National Convention. The content of the emails threw gasoline on the fire of Sanders supporters' rage, confirming their accusations that the DNC was biased towards Hillary Clinton. Protestors are calling this scandal the DNC's Watergate—a perversion of democracy, and damning evidence that the DNC rigged the system.
But others think the level of uproar is unwarranted. Yes, some of the emails are unprofessional and sleazy. And yes, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC wanted Hillary Clinton to win. But DNC bias is not the reason Bernie Sanders lost the nomination—even one of his most prominent staff members acknowledged that. Four million more voters wanted Clinton. The DNC needs to clean up its act for sure—but they don't deserve to be burned at the stake over this one.
So: is the #DNCLeakDespicable? Or would you say #DNCLeakNBD? VOTE!
