Should Attorney General Bill Barr be impeached? | The Tylt
Attorney General Bill Barr lied, this time in writing, about firing U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman. Barr falsely wrote that Berman was resigning. Berman was in fact, being fired by Barr under false pretenses. Barr has repeatedly lied in an official capacity—he lied about using chemical irritants on protesters in front of the White House, he lied about the Mueller Report, and now he has lied in writing about this. Impeachment is the strongest way Democrats can sanction Barr. He's repeatedly abused his power to help Trump and he's shown he'll continue to do it. However, Rep. Jerry Nadler said impeaching Barr would be a waste of time with a Republican-held Senate. As the GOP has shown, they are not interested in holding their own people accountable.
