Were Hillary Clinton's emails a fake scandal?
The New York Times reported in the first seven months since President Trump took office, at least six of his closest advisers occasionally used private email addresses to discuss White House matters, including Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Stephen K. Bannon, Reince Priebus, Gary Cohn and Stephen Miller. Clinton herself called their behavior "rank hypocrisy" after the Trump campaign accused her of crimes and said she should go to jail for her careless use of email.
Regardless of whether or not Trump's advisers have behaved hypocritically, many say Clinton's choice to set up a private email server was beyond stupid. She knew the political environment that she was in, and the reputation that she and her husband had earned for secrecy and dishonesty. That she didn't know the server would blow up in her face is indicative of her terrible judgment.
Clearly, Clinton’s using a private email account in lieu of an official email was going to come out; clearly the second it did, people were going to speculate that....she was just proving right the critics who have long said that the Clintons think themselves invincible.
Others say the fact that Clinton set up a private server makes her breach of conduct far worse than that of Trump administration officials. From the New York Times:
While the private email accounts spurred accusations of hypocrisy from Democrats, there are differences. Mrs. Clinton stored classified information on a private server, and she exclusively used a private account for her government work, sending or receiving tens of thousands of emails. The content and frequency of the Trump advisers’ emails remain unknown, but Trump administration officials described the use of personal accounts as sporadic. The emails have not been made public.
The fact that moronic liberals think this in anyway compares to Crooked Hillary setting up a private server is preposterous.
