Should President Trump be investigated for sexual assault? | The Tylt
While President Trump's alleged affair with a porn star has been dominating the news cycle, many are asking why Trump's accusers haven't been taken seriously. Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct by 19 women and is on tape openly bragging about sexual assault. Many have called on Congress to investigate Trump. But others feel this is nothing more than a witch hunt aimed at bringing down the president, and reports that Lisa Bloom tried to get money for Trump's accusers only added to the skepticism. What do you think?

While President Trump's alleged affair with a porn star has been dominating the news cycle, many are asking why Trump's accusers haven't been taken seriously. According to The New York Times, 51 high-profile men have been accused of sexual misconduct since Harvey Weinstein. And for the first time, their stories are being believed.
But when it comes to the president, it seems different rules apply. While many are happy to see progress being made on this front, some wonder why President Trump, who has been accused of harassment or assault by 19 women, has yet to be investigated. Democratic House members are planning to bring sexual assault survivors to Trump's State of the Union address, but a formal investigation into the allegations against the president has yet to happen.
Some have argued that there would be no #MeToo moment if Donald Trump had not been elected, even after being accused of various forms of misconduct, from groping to rape. But in recent weeks several of Trump’s accusers have said that while they’re happy sexual harassment is being discussed more openly, they’re still dismayed that their own stories seem to have had little impact.
Many have expressed outrage that President Trump has not been investigated for alleged sexual assault and harassment, and are calling on Congress to do something about it.
Trump having consensual sex with a Porn Star bothers me, but that's between him and Melania.

In 2017 @SpeakerRyan & his Republican Congress ignored & refused to investigate the 20 sexual assault claims against Trump. Let’s not let them ignore Trump’s victims again in 2018–They must be heard. #MeToo pic.twitter.com/hNIqZEI54G
Some members of Congress have called on Trump to resign altogether.

That’s 12 Members of Congress (8 Senators, 4 House) demanding Trump resign over his sexual misconduct#TrumpResign #TrumpSexProbehttps://t.co/rYcxn4JlQc
But others think the attacks on President Trump are part of a partisan smear campaign aimed at bringing him down. After reports came out claiming attorney Lisa Bloom sought compensation for some of the Trump accusers, many felt this proved his accusers weren't telling the truth.
Twitter & Facebook are keeping the report about Lisa Bloom offering to pay $750,000 to women "who made or considered making sexual misconduct allegations against Donald Trump during the final months of the 2016 presidential race," off the trending now sections.#LisaBloom #MeToo pic.twitter.com/YBEHzuWzRc

Lisa Bloom was caught trying to pay women off with as much as $750,000 in exchange for accusing Trump of sexual assault. She also had an accuser's mortgage paid off in exchange for accusing @realDonaldTrump. Lisa Bloom + her mom Gloria Allred are frauds. https://t.co/FCdn8Xf9tP
