Wikileaks released 19,252 emails obtained from top DNC officials. The emails show a clear bias against Bernie Sanders from the beginning.

Is this the nail in the coffin for any hope of party unity?

Many of Hillary Clinton’s critics have always claimed that the race was stacked against Bernie. The release of these emails—shortly before the DNC—raises doubts on whether Hillary would be able to unify the Democratic party to defeat Donald Trump. The leak confirms what progressives thought all along. The system was rigged for Hillary.

But in a cynical vein, some are saying that the leaks don’t really reveal anything new. It’s been an open secret that DNC had it out for Bernie, and this only confirms it. On a pragmatic level, #NeverHillary voters never would have been courted to support Hillary, and this leak doesn’t change anything. Party unity is for people who were in the party to begin with.
