Trump responded with full text of his own.
Many Trump supporters dismissed the entire speech as untrue. Maybe it only connected with people who already thought Trump was racist.
Others thought it was extremely powerful, and might change some people's minds about supporting Trump.
Jamelle Bouie pointed out that Clinton made clear distinctions between Trump and antiracist actions taken by other Republican party members. By not painting the party with the same brush, she left the door open for Republicans to disassociate themselves from Trump and the alt right.
Many commentators thought she eviscerated him.
But Trump supporters scorned her speech and said Clinton was the real racist. It may not make any real difference to voters.
