"The West Wing" is a classic Aaron Sorkin show but with slightly less of Sorkin's... Sorkin-ness. Women mostly understand how to use technology, asshole grandstanding only happens once every three episodes, and the speeches are delivered by such charming actors you almost don't realize their just reading Aaron Sorkin op-eds. And very few people are so rich they could take xx location and turn it into their ping pong room

It's hard to overstate the impact of "The West Wing" on society. Young people who grew up on the show actually went into politics based on the Bartlett administration's steely-eyed optimism. The Obama administration actually had a Big Block of Cheese Day. I, personally, cried when I saw this video

Basically, every political TV show gets compared to "The West Wing." Just you try to have a walk-and-talk without Sorkin getting brought up.

And for my money, it's also got one of the funniest scenes in all of television history.

"The Good Wife" starts with a ripped-from-the-headlines premise and then spirals out from there. Alicia Florrick, the wife of Illinois State's Attorney Mr. Big, is shocked to discover her husband has been sleeping with sex workers and is going to jail after being accused of accepting bribes.

After 12 years at home raising kids, Alicia is forced back into the workforce. Thank goodness she has a handsome law school friend who just happens to be a name partner in a law firm where the other name partner is Christine freakin' Baranski! Alicia is, obviously, incredibly good at all law stuff, quickly rising through the ranks and working as an expert in literally everything from military law to divorce law to whatever the heck is always happening with Colin Sweeney.

"The Good Wife" worked with breaking news and the strongest bench of character actors on TV. Seriously, what other show is going to get Michael J. Fox to play a multi-season arc as a villain? Meryl Streep's daughter, the one who isn't on "Mr. Robot," is on it as a whiney lawyer! I learned so much about bitcoin!

While "The Good Wife" is unfortunately no longer with us, "The Good Fight," a spin-off show with my queen Christine Baranski's character Diane Lockhart, is currently winning acclaim on CBS' streaming service.

Okay, but to digress for one moment—we have to talk about how hot Will Gardner is. It's a major selling point of the show! But he just shouldn't be! Just look at Josh Charles' forehead! There's no way he should be as hot as he is! It's wild!

Scientists will never be able to figure it out BUT HERE WE ALL ARE. He wants to be commissioner of baseball! He has a baseball bat in his office and sometimes he swings it around while reading from leather-bound law books! He knows how to appreciate a fine scotch! He's equally attractive when whispering and yelling—not many people are! Wow, all rise for Will Gardner, okay?!
