Can you still support Zara after all the controversy?

Zara's brand is synonymous with drama. Most recently, it was the subject of drama after Melania Trump wore a Zara jacket that read “I really don’t care, do u?” on her way to New Hope Children’s Shelter in Texas. In 2014, the company sold a top that resembled a Holocaust concentration camp uniform. In 2013, it was a bracelet made of black faces. And in 2014, Zara designed a "White is the new black" tee. The brand has released a slew of apologies along the way. Can you still support Zara?

Besides making clothes in poor taste, Zara has been accused of racial discrimination against shoppers and not paying laborers. Carson Kessler recently released a timeline for Fortune of all the times the brand got it so wrong.

But in the brand's defensive, they are taking action to ensure they no longer design offensive clothing. Liz Posner of Alternet said the brand will scan its pieces to make sure they aren't offensive.

"Zara has a new plan for combating racism, thievery and cultural appropriation in its designs. To avoid future gaffes, Zara told the Times it will rely on an algorithm to "scan designs for insensitive or offensive features."

At least they are trying to take action.
