What do you think of the new 'Star Wars' title? | The Tylt
The eighth installment of the on-going "Star Wars" saga finally has an official title: "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." It's short, dramatic and is sure to tug at the heart strings of fans worldwide. But one can also critique the new title. What is short can also been seen as trite. What is dramatic can also be interpreted as cliche. Is the new "Star Wars" title inspired or just tired?

It's happening!
The Rian Johnson-directed film will follow Rey on her journey, who—when we last saw her—just found Luke Skywalker skulking at the ruins of a rumored Jedi temple.
Will we find out her origins? Is she a Skywalker, a Kenobi,or something completely different? Will Luke train her as a Jedi? All these questions and more will be left unanswered for now. What we do know is the title: "The Last Jedi."
It's not even an original title. There was a book of the same name already written in the "Star Wars" universe.
Nerd rage!
Haters are gonna hate. But true fans are ready. This title revs things up. So much is on the line right now. If Luke doesn't get Rey up to speed, he could very well be the last Jedi!

*The Last Jedi is revealed*
STAR WARS IS MY LIFE
- Last of the Mohicans
- The Last Samurai
- Last Action Hero
- The Last Airbender
- The Last Emperor
The list goes on. Did "Star Wars" really need to go there?
@OnePerfectShot does it refer to Luke or Rey....?? The best titles lend themselves to the most speculation. This accomplishes that.

What does it mean that the "Star Wars" lettering is red? Let the hand-wringing commence!
Jedi is both singular and plural. So this title could have multiple meanings. That makes it even more intriguing. And that red color...
