Others enjoyed his last album "Starboy" a lot more, dismissing the hate towards the Grammy award-winning LP. Which project is better? 🎤

Listen to "My Dear Melancholy" below via Spotify. The EP marks an important transition in The Weeknd's trajectory as an artist. Variety's Jem Aswad writes:

So as best can be told in a morning-after hot take (and without taking that puzzling comma at the end of the title too literally or too seriously), “My Dear Melancholy,” feels more like a transition, a way station on the journey to wherever The Weeknd is going next — and it’s a credit to this prolific and ever-evolving artist that he manages to be creatively restless and never stay in the same place for long while always sounding unmistakably like himself.

While it's a turning point for The Weeknd, it's rooted in his alternative R&B roots.

He's a starboy a.k.a. a pop superstar. Don't hate on "Starboy."
