With the debut of "The Nun," the Conjuring Universe now boasts as many films as the DCEU (until "Aquaman" debuts later this year). While the Conjuring Universe has a significantly higher Rotten Tomatoes average, the DCEU has grossed more at the box office. However, the Conjuring Universe has grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide on a cumulative budget of $81.5 million—arguably making it Warner Bros.' most profitable shared universe. But, c'mon, can you really compare a bunch of low-rent horror movies to "Justice League"? What do you think?

The Conjuring Universe is obviously terrifying, but its mythos is deep and its characters are intriguing. Check out the trailer for "The Nun," the fifth installment in the Conjuring Universe, below. The film is now in theaters.

The DC Extended Universe is thrilling, to say the least. While "Justice League" scored a 40 percent rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but The Verge says it offers something for everyone:

It’s a Zack Snyder movie and a Joss Whedon movie, which may ultimately work better for audiences than a pure project from one or the other, given that both men have their fans and their detractors. It’s just a pity they couldn’t have consciously worked together to create a cohesive, coherent vision that merged their sensibilities thoroughly, instead of this back-and-forth tug of war that seems to be perpetually checking in with the audience: “Is this what you want? How about this instead?”
