While Thanos was introduced in the end-credits scene in "The Avengers," he showed up in his full celestial glory in "Avengers: Infinity War." We won't spoil anything for the stragglers who haven't seen the latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but some moviegoers are calling Thanos the most villainous threat in the MCU. But others argue that title goes to longtime fan favorite Loki or the relatable Killmonger from "Black Panther." What do you think?

Screenrant's Anthony McGlynn argues Thanos is the greatest threat the Avengers have ever faced, and many agree. He writes:

As the central antagonist of Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos is the greatest threat the Avengers have ever faced and the greatest villain the Marvel Cinematic Universe has yet known. First teased in the post-credits scene for 2012’s The Avengers, the build-up to seeing the Mad Titan clash with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes has been a slow one.
Actual appearances otherwise have been scarce, emotive discussions of his cruel, unflinching demeanor in the Guardians of the Galaxy films being his biggest advocate, while the mystery of the Infinity Stones has gradually brought he and Stark and co. closer together. And now that he’s here, it’s plain to see why Gamora and Nebula were so trepidatious about anyone being in his way.

But other fans have already named either Loki or Killmonger as the greatest MCU villain. The Tylt previously wrote:

Before Thanos' debut in "Avengers: Infinity War," which is expected to break box office records, only a few villains have truly stood out in the MCU. The charming Loki was widely known as the greatest Marvel movie villain—having appeared in three "Thor" movies, "The Avengers" and the upcoming "Infinity War." Erik Killmonger only appeared in "Black Panther," but moviegoers are calling him the most relatable and best villain in the MCU. His charm and appeal draw comparisons to Magneto.
