Sylvester Stallone's most iconic role: Rocky or Rambo?
Below is the synopsis of the original "Rocky," per IMDB.
Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer, gets a supremely rare chance to fight heavy-weight champion Apollo Creed in a bout in which he strives to go the distance for his self-respect.
Stallone garnered Oscar nominations for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay for starring in and writing "Rocky." The film is now the quintessential sports flick. The film's iconic training montage still resonates in pop culture today, after being repeated and recreated ad nauseum over the last 40 years. Not only was Rocky a breakthrough role for Stallone, the franchise is still churning out movies.

Below is the synopsis of the original "First Blood," also thanks to IMDB.
Former Green Beret John Rambo is pursued into the mountains surrounding a small town by a tyrannical sheriff and his deputies, forcing him to survive using his combat skills.
Stallone definitely set out to compete with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the '80s as an action hero, and playing John Rambo in the "First Blood" series helped Stallone go head-to-head with his biggest movie rival (and frenemy). Yeah, Rambo is a tough, rugged and violent rebel, but he is also fearless and gets the job done. Hence, Rambo is a true action hero and a total badass.
