Nancy went from an immature teenager enamored with Steve Harrington to a self-reliant adult. But the beginning of season three found her coming face-to-face with a foe that had nothing to do with government experimentation: terrible bosses. Nancy sticks to her guns in the face of condescension and eventually proves her doubters wrong.

In fact, Nancy beats the man as literally as possible. When two of her more obnoxious bosses become possessed by the Mind Flayer, Nancy fights them off with a little help from a fire hydrant (and zero help from her boyfriend). Talk about a negative work environment.

Her knack for handling firearms has consistently gotten the “Stranger Things” team out of grave situations, season three included. Although battling a gigantic flesh monster with fireworks isn’t a bad strategy, either.

#TeamRobin

Robin’s sarcastic demeanor and banter made her an instant fan favorite. She helps to keep the popularity-obsessed Steve grounded and becomes essential in battling Hawkins’s nefarious foes. How? By picking up a foreign language and deciphering an intercepted code within a matter of days.

She’s also a delightfully weird addition to a group of self-proclaimed nerds. Her wry humor keeps tenser moments cool and feistier children in place. There’s also her uncanny ability to make a silly work uniform look trendy.

Then there's Robin’s relationship with Steve: Fans can’t get enough of their chemistry, which turns into something else entirely. They’re the new “Mom” and “Dad” of the “Stranger Things” kids, looking out for them while taking down the forces secretly infiltrating their small town.
