Should Jessica Williams stay at 'The Daily Show'? | The Tylt
Hooray! 🎉🎉🎉 Jessica Williams has her own scripted show with Comedy Central in the works. Kudos to her! 😏
But Jessica's new show means her departure from The Daily Show. And according to fan reactions, she's the one great thing about the show following Jon Stewart's departure last year. Sorry, Trevor Noah.
Can The Daily Show survive without Jessica? Should she stay at the show just so it won't sink?
Because so many think the show sucks so bad, some are happy that she's getting a shot at leading her own series. Others love The Daily Show so much that they want her to stay just to keep it going.
She told Entertainment Weekly:
“I feel so many emotions. I feel like I’m growing up and graduating.”
As of now, Thursday, June 30 will be her final Daily Show as a correspondent.
Trevor Noah added in an email:
“The sadness I have for Jessica leaving is only eclipsed by the joy I have for her starting her new show. If her podcast is anything to go by, it’s going to be an exciting show!”
Yep, it's a bittersweet moment for many. But ...
What do you think: Is it #OutWithDailyShow and in with Jessica's new series? Or should she #StayWithDailyShow?

jessica williams is too good for the daily show (unless she's the one running it), excited to see what's next for her— adam hamze حمزة (@adamhamz) June 29, 2016
Now Jessica Williams is leaving The Daily Show? Yikes. She was one of the best parts of the show post-Jon Stewart.— Robert Swartwood (@RobertSwartwood) June 29, 2016
Not a good week for “Daily Show.” That tweet, now Jessica Williams is bouncing. And let’s be honest - buzz factor of show has vanished.— Joe Ovies (@joeovies) June 29, 2016
