But we are also taking a trip down fan fiction, memory lane—critics argue Hermione, played by Emma Watson, ended up with the wrong guy. Many fans believe she and Harry belong together. But others argue that it was clear that Hermione and Ron were meant to be from the jump. What do you think?

Buzzfeed listed reasons why Hermione and Harry should have progressed as a couple. Fans have analyzed their relationship for years. They supported each other throughout the years, and fans think they have always had a smoother and healthier relationship than Hermione and Ron.

3. Other characters believe they are together.
4. Hermione chooses Harry over Ron.

But Buzzfeed also listed the reasons why Hermione and Ron are the perfect couple. It was clear from the jump that Hermione and Ron would end up together. Just because Harry is the protagonist, doesn't mean he deserves to get the girl. 

J.K. Rowling must have been aware of this and decided against cliché storytelling. It would've been too easy to pair off Hermione and Harry. Instead, fans got to see their love blossom throughout the years from an uneasy friendship to falling in love with each other. It's the perfect love story actually.
