Ultimate '10s superhero show: ‘Runaways or ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'?
In the second round, we have Marvel's "Runaways," which follows teenagers with superpowers fighting against their villainous parents versus Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which chronicles the adventures of superagents of a secret organization.
Don't forget to cast your vote in our other superhero show matchups below.
What would you do when you find out your parents are supervillains? The obvious answer is in the title. You run away. “Runaways” focuses on a group of teenagers, some with super powers of their own, trying to understand and evade their diabolical parents while navigating relationships and emotional trials. “Runaways” manages to do all this with a large cast of young actors without sacrificing character development and without becoming corny.
“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” takes the beloved and beleaguered Agent Coulson of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and gives him his own team, in a sort of comics-meets-X-Files format (with fewer aliens). Clark Gregg (Coulson) brings the perfect balance of seriousness and relatability to hold the show together even when facing outlandish enemies and crazy situations. “Agents” has six seasons under its belt, and has garnered a substantial fanbase.
