Jonas Brothers were the hottest boy band of the late '00s, while One Direction took over the game in 2010. Now, fans mourn the days these boy bands dominated the charts and sold out arenas. Jonas Brothers officially disbanded in 2013, while 1D went on hiatus in 2016. Jonas Brothers rose to prominence in 2007, when there was a shortage of international boy bands. After getting started on "The X Factor" in 2010, 1D released five albums that have achieved worldwide success. Who do you miss more? 🎤

One Direction formed on "The X Factor" in 2010. Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were all eliminated as solo artists but were brought back to create a boy band. One Direction was born!

Ultimately, the group didn't win but placed third. Regardless, they grew a strong fanbase on social media and were signed by Simon Cowell. The group released their debut album "Up All Night" in late 2011. The album spun their first big hit: "What Makes You Beautiful." The song is about a guy expressing his admiration for his girlfriend. It topped the charts in the U.K., while cracking the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. 1D became unstoppable.

Below are some notable lyrics, per Genius

🎶 Baby you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell. You don't know, oh oh, you don't know you're beautiful. If only you saw what I can see. You'll understand why I want you so desperately. Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe. You don't know, you don't know you're beautiful. That's what makes you beautiful.🎶

"Up All Night" peaked at #2 on the U.K. Albums Chart but topped the Billboard Top 200 Albums. The album owes most of its success to hit singles "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing." Listen to the commercially successful LP below via Spotify.

Jonas Brothers made their breakthrough during a period there weren't many boy bands. Yes, technically there was no shortage of pop-rock or pop-punk bands, but strong female and Disney-fueled fanbases turned them into teen idols. Their status as teen pop artists qualified them not only as a rock band but a pop boy band. The band consisted of brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick. The group rose to prominence after multiple appearances on the Disney Channel.

The band released their debut album "It's About Time" in 2006 under Columbia Records. The album features singles "Mandy" and a cover of Busted's "Year 3000." The music video for "Year 3000" gained traction on Disney Channel right around the time the band had been dropped by Columbia Records in early 2007. But the band quickly recovered when signed by Hollywood Records also in early 2007. Due to the success of "Year 3000," the single would also lead Jonas' self-titled sophomore LP.

Below are some significant lyrics, per Genius

🎶 He told me he built a time machine. Like one in a film I've seen. Yeah. He said. I've been to the year 3000.🎶
🎶 Not much has changed but they lived under water. And your great great great grand daughter...is doing fine, doing fine.🎶

The self-titled album "Jonas Brothers" peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200. The album features not only "Year 3000," but hits "Hold On," "SOS" and "When You Look Me in the Eyes." Listen to the Jonas' breakthrough LP below via Spotify.

Unfortunately for Directioners, Zayn left the group in March 2015 to pursue a solo career. 1D released four albums together as a quintet—"Up All Night," "Take Me Home," "Midnight Memories" and "Four." The group released one album as a quartet; "Made in the A.M." dropped in November 2015.

Zayn made his breakthrough with the #1 hit "Pillowtalk" on his album "Mind of Mine" in early 2016. The group announced their hiatus around the same time in 2016. Niall, Harry, Liam, and Louis have all released solo singles or albums between 2016 and 2017. The quartet's final single, so far, is "History," a love letter to their fans.

Below are some notable lyrics to "History," per Genius

🎶 You and me got a whole lot of history. We could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen. You and me got a whole lot of history. So don't let it go, we can make some more, we can live forever.🎶

"Made in the A.M." topped the U.K. Albums Chart, while peaking at #2 on the Billboard 200. The album holds sentimental value to Directioners as the group's final album before going on hiatus. The album also holds the distinction of being the only album without Zayn. Listen to the LP below via Spotify.

Jonas Brothers planned a comeback in 2013 after going on a hiatus in 2010. But the brothers officially disbanded in the fall of 2013. The band dumped their tour, fifth studio album, and Twitter page. The brothers sat down on "Good Morning America" and explained the breakup.

According to MTV, Nick said:

"I was actually the one that initiated the conversation," Nick said. "You know, we're family first and that's always been our main priority and so honesty within what we do as a group was really important. So I came to the table with the guys just before we were prepping to leave for tour and I shared my heart with them, my feelings."

However, the band released a second live album called "LiVe," featuring singles "Poms Poms" and "First Time," but that's it. Fans miss 'em to this day. Kevin's a family man. Nick's a solo heartthrob with two hit albums under his belt. Joe is the frontman of the successful dance-rock band DNCE.

"Paranoid" was one of the band's final hits together featured on "Lines, Vines and Trying Times," released in 2009. The single peaked within the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Below are some significant lyrics, per Genius

🎶 Every time I turn around. Something don't feel right. Just might be paranoid. I'm avoiding the lines 'cause they just might split. Can someone stop the noise? I don't know what it is, but I just don't fit. I'm paranoid. Yeah!🎶

Jonas Brothers released their fourth studio album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" in 2009, which quickly topped the Billboard 200. At that point, the band released an album every year since 2006. Unfortunately, the LP would be the brothers' final studio album together. Listen to the LP below via Spotify.

There are fans who not only want 1D and Jonas to make comebacks, but to do a reunion tour together. We're here for that.

#Team1D because they are the biggest boy band of '10s, and we'd love to see all five original members back together again.

#TeamJonasBrothers because the brothers disbanded entirely too soon, and need to reunite with a new album and tour.
