Octavia Spencer manages to always look gorgeous on the red carpet despite designers not always wanting to dress her. The veteran actress stepped onto the red carpet at the 2012 Oscars literally shining in a hand-beaded, silk ivory gown designed by Tadashi Shoji. The timeless and elegant gown hugged and accentuated Spencer's curvaceous frame. Spencer wore chandelier earrings and the perfect blinged out clutch to match.

Nyong'o was made to wear color. The actress is never too shy to rock a bold color, but for the 2014 Oscars, she rocked a powder blue number with a plunging neckline designed by Prada. The sleeveless, flowy gown was accompanied with a Fred Leighton headband.
