Breakout pop star of 2018: Normani or Troye Sivan?
It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best music artists, movies, TV shows, video games, sports and pro athletes of 2018. The "Best of 2018" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who really won the year in each category.
And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end-of-year debates:
Normani has been slaying since 2012 as a member of Fifth Harmony, but we all remember that split at the 2017 Video Music Awards. But Normani continued to slay as a solo superstar in 2018, dropping her first solo hit "Love Lies" with Khalid earlier in the year.
"Love Lies" is a long-running hit on the Hot 100, peaking within the top 10 hit. Normani is keeping the momentum going, releasing two new bops produced by Calvin Harris, "Checklist" and "Slow Down."
Troye Sivan is still breaking out in the U.S., but the superstar successfully dropped his sophomore LP "Bloom." Sivan continues his pop ascent, even teaming up with pop princess Ariana Grande on "Dance to This." He's also an openly gay entertainer, breaking barriers as a young pop star. And fans can catch him in the critically-praised film "Boy Erased."
Check out the music video to his lead single "My My My!" off of "Bloom" below.
