Should Nicki Minaj retire from music?
Fans were shocked when Minaj dropped the news she was giving up rap. The 10-time Grammy nominee has said in the past she would give up music when it is time for her to settle down to have a family and she making good on her promise. Minaj hit the music scene in 2009 during a time when female rappers were scarce, so to say she will be missed is an understatement.
Recently there has been a surge of female rappers, so some argue that Minaj is intimidated by the competition and that is the real reason she is leaving rap. Critics also say there are so many new female rappers Nicki won't be missed.
